Lift Up Your Eyes & Expand Your Horizon
Posted by Wise Jargon on Saturday, April 29, 2017

In today’s Facebook Live video post, I talked about how I bought a computer in 1987. It was a Tandy 1000 SX from Radio Shack.  It had two 5 and ¼ inch floppy disk drives.  I bought a book on MS DOS and BASIC programming

As time went by, I bought various programs that I could use for both work and pleasure. By exposing myself to these new technologies, I expanded my horizon.  It’s like climbing a mountain and seeing for miles in all directions, when all you’ve ever done is spent your time in the valley where all you saw were the trees around you and the ground you walked on.

God was using this experience of seeing new possibilities to help me see new opportunities and new ways of doing things I’d never thought of.

I talked about two bible verses, Ephesians 2:10 and Psalm 121:1, and how when we lift our eyes to the Lord, he helps us see the big picture of the mission He’s planned for our lives, and how the skills He’s “loaned” us fit in to that mission.

What about you?  Have you had those moments in your life where something happened to change the way you saw your circumstances?  Having a different vantage point, did it give you new insights into how God might be shaping the path of your journey to help you discover your “mission from God?”  I hope you’ll take a moment to share your comments.

After I end this video session, I’ll post some other resources.  One is a course I’d like to recommend called “Pursuing Your Mission from God.”  By clicking this link, you’ll get a 25% discount.  Or simply use the code “25pctdiscount”.

Thanks so much for joining me for this Journey Step.

Thanks for watching my Facebook Live video.  You can like my channel at I encourage you to add your thoughts that this lesson has sparked for you.  What steps will you take starting TODAY to act on those thoughts?

Thanks, and God bless.
