Imagine an e-book with embedded hyperlinks to sites on the Internet, providing background on people, places and events as your read an historical novel. I’ve done that with my novel, The Brotherhood of the Scroll. Here’s a Youtube Video describing how you can download Amazon’s Kindle software to your PC for free, and then use my novel for historical educational purposes. The Brotherhood of the Scroll is an historical novel. Yes, there's fiction in the book. But, there's a lot of factual history and bible references as well. This study guide answers the question "Where do I find that in the Bible? What was the author thinking? What was the historical context of those circumstances?" Each chapter has a set of discussion questions, making this an excellent resource for a group bible study of both the novel and the Exilic period of Israel's history.
